So! What’s better than having your story turned into a Polish retrofuturistic short film? NOTHING. Patrik Eriksson‘s brilliant and ominous short Kim jest Arvid Pekon? (Who is Arvid Pekon?) premieres in January, but I’ve got some stills to post already. And they are nothing short of gorgeous. The actors are all well-known names of Polish cinema, lending their talents to this film because the concept was just so good. Yep. It’s true.
The film was shot in Łódź, Poland. Patrik Eriksson is a student at the world famous Polish National Film School, PWSFTViT. You’ll recognise some of the alumni: Roman Polanski, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Andrzej Wajda. Patrik is one to watch, for sure. He rocks.
My story “Who is Arvid Pekon?” is included in Jagannath. The Swedish version can be found in the collection “Vem är Arvid Pekon?”.

[...] Pekon? ska bli en polsk kortfilm? Det gjorde absolut inte jag. Halkade in på författarens egen blogg och noterade [...]
Yes. The actors are all well-known in Poland. I am really interested in the result.
Best, Mirek from Poland
I hope you’ll be able to see it soon, and that it lives up to your expectations. It surely exceeded mine!
