Karin Tidbeck is based in Malmö, Sweden, where they write speculative fiction in Swedish and English. They debuted in 2010 with the Swedish short story collection Vem är Arvid Pekon? Their English debut, the 2012 collection Jagannath, received the Crawford Award and was shortlisted for the World Fantasy Award. Since then, they have written the novels Amatka and The Memory Theater as well as short stories, roleplaying adventures, interactive fiction, radio drama, and essays on literature and the weird. Tidbeck enjoys experimental LARP, games, cross stitch, 1980s goth music and paranormal phenomena.
